Freshly Made Sketch -- Yellow and Black

The Sizzix Thinlit "Magical Butterfly" is the feature of my Freshly Made Sketches card, which also sports a dry-embossed front with yellow and black washi tape.  The Mae West quotation is an old Rubbernecker stamp.

Mojo Monday Again

I've been taking a break from crafting for awhile; there were 4 CD's of photos taken at our son's wedding--2 1/2 years ago--that needed to be "curated."  (It's a photographic experience I wouldn't want to go through again, and I wasn't the photographer, but I paid for it.)  Anyway, that's taken care of, and Mojo Monday is a good place to resume.

I chose square because I always choose that shape over a circle.  And because I had a new paper pad, I was inspired to use the unusual patterns.  "Dimensions" is the SU paper pad; "Believe" is a new Penny Black die, and the butterfly is PinkPaislee's Artisan Cardboard.

Pink and Chocolate on Sunday Stamps

The theme for this week's Sunday Stamps sketch was "pastels with a pop of chocolate" but I reversed that concept with a chocolate card and that sweet pink butterfly.

Freshly Made with Neutrals and Butterflies

Circles in the sketch become butterflies on my card, which features neutrals for Freshly Made Sketches 220.  A new sentiment from Impression Obsession on a dry-embossed layer completes the card.

Freshly Made with a Gold Butterfly

With the sketch in mind, I thought of kraft and black, primarily because I had a pad of Canvas Corp paper in front of me.  And I had a delightful gold butterfly in my stash--I had tried out a new-to-me Thinlits die from Sizzix with some pretty metal product.   Joining in the fun at Freshly Made Sketches.

Freshly Made in Kraft and White

It was fun putting together a card with these tiny butterflies on patterned circles for Freshly Made Sketches.

Prowling Pinterest Again

More than once, I've said Pinterest is "Internet Crack"!  How fun to scroll through the images and "pin" them to my boards.  One large board in my collection is of "Cards."  This card was inspired by one of the layouts on Pinterest, and I chose it because it provided another opportunity to use one of the beautiful glittery butterflies from Prima.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 274

It feels as if it's been forever since I've made a card to post!  When some of the hub-bub and chaos settled in our lives, I went to the current sketches and started looking for supplies that would work.  I have a lot of butterfly embellishments, and I love these glitzy ones that Prima doesn't even carry anymore.  I'm linking up with the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.

Freshly Made with a Butterfly

I'm edging in under the wire with my card for Freshly Made Sketch #187 today.  I have so many butterflies:  stamps and embellishments.  I wanted to use at least one of them for this sketch. It's an adhesive-backed Jenni Bowlin butterfly and the sentiment "Smile" is a new die from Intricutz (Couture Creations).
