CASe a Sentiment Sketch

I used to think I would never use dies...now I love using them, and wish large ones were more available.  For this Cas(e) this Sketch challenge, I used a piece of designer black and white paper and three layers of the Happy diecut and a tiny decorative brad.

CAS(E) This Sketch!

Post #2 for this day, since I missed the deadline on the other one.

This looked like such a busy CASE(E) This Sketch, but then I saw the DT cards and was hooked.  It's the perfect opportunity to use watercolors and die cuts, which is what I did.  The branches are dies from the Tim Holtz collection of wintry branches and leaves, and the sentiment is from a great little collection of words and phrases purchased on Blitsy.  Another Christmas card completed!

Case-ing the Sketch ... over and over

When I saw this CAS(E) this sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it---use the beautiful Stampotique feather image.  I certainly didn't know that I would end up re-doing the card (except for the feather), twice.  I assembled the card and decided where I would put my Rubbernecker sentiment; the result was upside down.  That necessitated re-making the base card. The second time, I stamped the sentiment and realized the base piece was crooked.  Fortunately, I was able to pull it off and trim to make it straight.  There were a lot of used pieces of cardstock by the time I finished.
