A Triangle for Less is More

The challenge for the final Less is More of 2019 is a choice of triangles: vertical or horizontal.  I chose the vertical design because I have this great Penny Black "Sparkling Christmas" which fills the bill!  I heat embossed the design in gold, cut it in another triangle and edged it with gold Krylon.  The star is a wooden button that I colored gold with the marker and added gold accents to cover the button holes.  

CAS(E) This Sketch!

Post #2 for this day, since I missed the deadline on the other one.

This looked like such a busy CASE(E) This Sketch, but then I saw the DT cards and was hooked.  It's the perfect opportunity to use watercolors and die cuts, which is what I did.  The branches are dies from the Tim Holtz collection of wintry branches and leaves, and the sentiment is from a great little collection of words and phrases purchased on Blitsy.  Another Christmas card completed! 

Still in the rosette mood

Since Sir Tim posted his tutorial for a rosette tree, I've been playing with those dies.  Never mind that it's after Christmas!   Before I put my Christmas stamps and papers away, I have three more examples of rosettes---this time as tree ornaments.   Or they could be decorations for packages, too.    As with the silver tree in the previous post, I applied the silver flashing tape to cardstock before die cutting the rosettes.  (The rosette in the center is simply a 3-layer one of Christmas paper.)

Tag Tuesday--Colors of Christmas II

I'm running behind on this challenge because I didn't like the first tag I made for Louise's Tag Tuesday. We're doing Colors of Christmas, and this week is red, green, and golden yellow. My tag was cut out of 140 lb. watercolor paper, stamped and embossed with a Stampendous poinsettia image, colored with watercolor markers and spritzed heavily with water. I love the watercolor effect, and I'm happy with the colorful results.
