CASe a Sentiment Sketch

I used to think I would never use dies...now I love using them, and wish large ones were more available.  For this Cas(e) this Sketch challenge, I used a piece of designer black and white paper and three layers of the Happy diecut and a tiny decorative brad.

Less is More with Piecing and Button Brad

Where have I been for 10 days?  I'm not sure that even I know!   I do know that it's been hot for a month...every day above 92 degrees with a couple of 100's in there...and 10 more days of the same in the forecast.  Hot times in July and August aren't unusual in NE Oregon, but the length of these hot spells is.  We're "saved" by low humidity, though.

Although I've cleaned enough of my craft room that I can once again work in it easily, I just haven't been in there.  Today, I have four challenges that I intend to work on, and the first is the latest Less is More challenge.

We'd like to see paper piercing, brads, eyelets, sewing, etc.

I chose the Hero Arts "Many Petals" image for paper piecing; the brad looks like a cute little yellow button. Each time I complete a LIM challenge, I have to ask myself if it's CAS enough; more than once, I haven't posted because I realized it didn't meet the CAS standards.  This time, I looked at other posts and moved the big flower from the center of the card to open up more white space. I hope it works!
