Color Throwdown with Watercolors

Some color combos don't work well for me, but this one is great!  The Color Throwdown challenge is aqua, orange, and gray.  I applied orange and aqua watercolors to paper and then die cut the spikey flower and leaves.  I then die cut the shape from the card layer to insert the colorful die cut.  Dry embossing adds texture to the layer, which was then bordered in gray to match the die cut. Enamel dots add some more color.

Freshly Made with Gold

I have a new pack of double-sided 12x12 paper called "Dots and Stripes" from Echo Park Paper Co.  The dots are all gold foil and the colors are rich autumn shades.  (I don't know where the stripes are!)  I chose the burnt orange sheet for this particular Freshly Made Sketches 257.

The two maple leaves are Spellbinder and Sizzix dies, accented with gold pen. "Grateful" is a Penny Black die. This card put me in the mood for some fall cards...the season seems to go by so quickly.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 286

It's another Sweet Sunday Sketch with some great shapes.

The designer paper is from a beautiful 6x6 Prima pad called "Bella Rouge."  The decorative circle is cut with a die from Spellbinders and "believe" is a die from PoppyStamps.
