This is a color palette that didn't interest me until I began getting serious about card-making and other crafts. Now I have several papers that work with the colors for the current Color Throwdown. The papers came from Prima's 6x6 "Engraver" pad. I used an old Sizzix die of primitive hearts and then dry-embossed them in a folder of numbers. The sentiment is an old Stampers Anonymous stamp.

Mojo Monday

Again, I discovered that my largest circle die isn't that large at all. But I once believed that I would never use dies in my card-making---and that turned out just the opposite! In my Mojo Monday card, I decided on a star instead of a square, which is a big deal for me. I tend to follow sketches pretty closely because I don't consider myself very creative.

Freshly Made with Squares and Stars

My second post today, and I might make another. Some days, I just need to catch up with the challenges I follow and today's one of those days. For Freshly Made Sketch 210 I chose some metallic gray cardstock to back up black squares with popped-up chipboard stars. The stars are "artisan chipboard" from Pink Paislee, and the delicate sentiment was cut with Penny Black's "sending joy" die. Unintentionally, I've made another Christmas card. (Stacking the white sentiment on a black one was very tricky, probably not something I would like to duplicate very often.)
