Monochromatic Watercolor

For the November CAS Watercolor challenge, I chose this old Hero Arts flower image, one I've used so many times over the years.  I stamped and heat embossed on watercolor paper, but the paint acted as if the surface was slick. "Hugs" is one of a set of "unnamed" sentiment dies in my stash.  I stacked it for some dimension.

Two for One

I feel as if I'm running behind, so I was interested to see if I could combine two challenges this time.

When I saw the circle element on the SundayStamps sketch, I thought immediately of the two Die-Versions circle dies I purchased on clearance recently.  From there, I could easily apply the Grey/Yellow color challenge for Less is More.    To add some interest to the solid yellow color, I used some embossing folders for texture.

Freshly Made with Fresh Blooms

I was so tempted to use hearts like the sketch for this week's Freshly Made Sketches---I have some pretty dies that would work.  Instead, I chose an oversized Stampendous flower (Fresh Bloom) to heat-emboss and color with watercolor pens and an aqua pen.  The sentiment is one of three "fancy" ones I own.

Freshly Made Sketch "Happy"

A Graphic 45 paper pad provided the papers for this Freshly Made Sketches card; Mama Elephant's "happy" script provided the image and sentiment, combined.

Sunday Stamps 146

"Authentique" designer paper from a 6x6 pad makes up this particular card for Sunday Stamps.
The "imagine" die is a Memory Box creation. The image is the free stamp from the cover of the March issue of Craft Stamper.
