I hadn't ever tried alcohol inks on vellum before; whatever I can do with the AI's is fun, though. For the CAS Mix Up color, I chose a hot pink, a rose, and magenta alcohol inks to mix on the sheet of vellum with a lot of 91% rubbing alcohol. I heat embossed one of my favorite floral images in gold and fussy cut it. Then I dug through my container of dies and chose a triangle and the really skinny frame to cut in metallic gold cardstock. To finish the card, I picked one of my often-used old SU! one-word stamps and embossed it in gold, as well.

Such a beautiful bloom...looks like you learned quickly about alcohol inks and vellum. Hard to believe this is you first time. The gold embossing, sentiment, frame and sentiment really make that flower stand out beautifully. Thanks so mucn for joining us at CAS Mix Up.
Wow, Evelyn, this is downright stunning! I like your idea of the gold-embossed flower. Isn't all that gold and white just the prettiest thing? Your photo shows it up very nicely. Your card is a real stand out in our gallery at CAS Mix Up. Thanks for playing!
Hi, Evelyn, and Happy 4th.
I can always just say Ditto on your work. It is elegant, classy, and unique.
I am happy to see that stamp used again. I can pull it out. As you know, my own creativity is limited; therefore, I rely on seeing what you come up with.
I even googled how to use
patterned papers!!! Or even some left over stickeroos I have.
Anyway, thank you again for the lovely cards you post. I like you that you off-centered with the gold..very, very nice.

This is such an elegant card. I love how you have finished it with that sparkly gold frame. The little triangle behind the flower really adds interest and your flower looks amazing with those alcohol inks, such a wonderful colour. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up this month. I am pleased that you have tried something new too xx
Gorgeous stamped and heat embossed with gold over your pretty alcohol ink on vellum background, Evelyn. Wonderful fussy cutting of your flower. Your geometric thin gold frame really is stunning too. Sweet gold embossed sentiment . So pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up. Love and Hugs...Nancy
