Color Throwdown -- Red, Black, and White

As I mentioned in my previous post , I'm fond of this color combo and made two cards in one day with these colors.  For this Color Throwdown card, I used a background stamp "Splatter" from Wendy Vecchi and one of my favorite Wordsworth sentiments -- I love the font and the sentiment.  I started with one wide red ribbon, but it was too wide; instead, I chose two narrow ribbons accented with silver thread.

Freshly Made Sketch 304

Red, black and white were on my mind when I came to this sketch for Freshly Made Sketches. (Next blog post features those colors, too.)  Swiss dots in an embossing folder added basic texture to the black layer, and a lined folder did the same for the red band.  The flower in the circle is an old stamp -- at least 12 years old -- from ATRS. I added a tiny sentiment from Hero Arts and some red jewels.
