It's a ticket to somewhere....

"That's the ticket" is the theme for Tag Tuesday this week.  I've combined a postcard background with a New York Central fare receipt, a ticket, and "enjoy the journey" (all from Tim Holtz) with the beautiful traveling lady (Altered Pages).   My next use of an Altered Page image will also feature an opportunity to win a couple of the collage sheets.

Glitter on a Tag

On Tag Tuesday this week, Louise has challenged us to use glitter on our tag creations.  For my tag of kraft cardstock, I dry-embossed it, inked the edges,  punched the bottom edge, and then framed the elegant Altered Pages image with a mix of copper and burgundy glitter.  For adhesive, I simply used 1/8" redliner tape.

Play Date Cafe Challenge with 'southwestern' colors

It's interesting how an idea in my mind often doesn't produce the results I expect.  That's what happened with this card for this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge.  I knew I wanted to use one of my new collage images from Altered Pages, where there are many fascinating choices.  In an attempt to change the look of one terra cotta piece, I embossed it in a Cuttlebug folder.

Another look:   I felt something was missing on the first card, so I added a skinny black mat to the layers.  I think that's the answer.  The woman in the attitude of supplication is from "A Woman's View" collage sheet at Altered Pages.
