I've always liked paper piecing in stamping, but I haven't done much of it lately. The card for the CAS Mix Up challenged me, but it had nothing to do with the piecing. The flower from Hero Arts is really large, so I cut off the outer petal layer when I had completed the paper piecing. I chose a flourish from Inkadinkado to accent the flower. Stamped flower was heat-embossed and outer layer was fussy cut. Flower center was colored with a marker.

This flower is absolutely perfect for paper piecing, Evelyn, and you did a fabulous job of it! Really loving the stamped flourish underneath, too. It's lovely to see you in our CAS Mix Up gallery!
Your flower is beautifully set off with that flourish and it lends itself perfectly to paper piecing, you chose such lovely papers in great colours. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up this month xx
Gorgeous paper pieced and fussy cut layered flower, Evelyn. Love how you used a flourish style stamp instead of leaves behind the flower. Beautiful sentiment too. So pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy
