Shattered Glass

CAS Mix Up this month involves layered embossing powders. When I saw the options, I decided immediately to go for the "shattered glass" technique; it's one I did years ago, but haven't played with since.  To be honest, the first project is pretty...but it's definitely not CAS.  So back to the craft mess.  I chose the stamp first because I needed to work with a specific size, one that didn't cover the card front.  The stamp is from Inkadinkado's Tin Can Mail line, and is one of about only five "masculine" images in my collection.  After cracking "the glass," I rubbed some brown ink into the cracks to accentuate them and added two adhesive dots.

This technique works so well with the masculine and vintage look of your fabulous card. The dry embossing texture on the background hi-lights that wonderful shattered glass image wonderfully. Thank you for joining in The CAS Mix Up Challenge with your eye catching and very creative card x.

A favorite technique and it's perfect with your image. You shattered it up beautifully. I need to make three more masculine cards for this month and next. Why do they have to be so hard? Love the look of this, Evelyn.
