CAS Mix Up

This "CAS Mix Up" is a new challenge for me, and it turned out to be challenging....corrugated cardboard is one of the required elements, but most corrugation is covered with a layer of kraft paper! The elements required in this challenge:  Stamping + Corrugated Cardboard + your choice.

After cutting the piece of cardboard with a label die, I painted it white.  Then I accented the ridges with gold Wink of Stella. The card layer was dry embossed with a brick background and the cardboard piece attached.  Tulips cut with Poppy Stamps' Tulip Fanfare (two sets) were colored with markers and adhered to the prepared cardboard.  The sentiment "always" is an SU! image.

Be sure to look at all the creative ways corrugated cardboard has been used HERE.

OMG Evelyn, your corrugated label is such a beautiful textured background for your pretty die cut tulips. I love your white dry eb brick card front that adds even more texture, yet keeps your card CAS :-) TFS my friend. I am so pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up. Hugs....

This is so pretty Evelyn! So much texture and dimension from your dry embossed background and your corrugated card piece. Painting it white and adding a bit of gold really gives it an elegant look. And your row of tulips is so pretty and happy ... spring is here! :) Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

The tulips caught my eye first. I always love the way red pops on white. Then I'm having one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments regarding your painted corrugated cardboard. Sheesh! It looks so much prettier with a coat of white paint on it, and really makes a nice back drop for the tulips. I also love the subtle brick wall. Beautiful all over, Evelyn!
