Just discovered the CAS Watercolor Blog with a new challenge to try: a clean and simple watercolor card with text other than the sentiment. As it turns out, I don't have a sentiment, but I do have a background text stamp clear-embossed over the watercolor base. (I need to mention that the watercolor layer was created by my almost-8-year-old great-niece, who loves to play with Color Bursts and Brushos.) The little embellishments are called "matte sprinkles" from Doodlebug Design, Inc.

How sweet to have your 8 yo great niece create your background for your beautiful card. I love your light text, colors and how you added your ribbon and sprinkles. TFS and joining us at CAS Watercolouring. Hugs, Nancy
P.S. I have been to Elgin...a beautiful area of Oregon. I live on the SW Coast of Oregon..Coos Bay :-)
It's wonderful that you get to share your love of art with your great niece. She did an amazing job with the color burst background. Such gorgeous colours. Fun design with the ribbon and candy dots. Love the elegant script in the background. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour.
Goodness, your 8 year old great niece made a gorgeous watercolor background! The two of you make a fabulous team! I've been intrigued by this challenge. Love the style.
Gosh..this is my favorite card. It looks like 3-d with some of the colors popping up. Amazing. Can I borrow your 8 yr. old? I bet she enjoyed getting inky. Just love your randomness..
