Less is More with Thread

Less is More ---Does black space count as white space?  I tried to evaluate whether my card is CAS according to the examples on the page, but I'm still not certain.  However, I'm posting my "thread" card, anyway.   I rather like it.   (It's a tall card that will require a special envelope.)

The thread is copper, marking the flight of the coppery butterfly.  Copper is repeated in the heat-embossed sentiment.

Oooh, there's another one of those gorgeous butterflies! Wow! I love how you used the copper thread for a flight trail. Clever and beautiful! I looked at the samples at Less is More and I'd say your card qualifies. Some of them use color, so I don't know how black would be different when it comes to color. Also, one of them is a shaker, so... Anyway, it's a beautiful card.

Black card definitely qualifies as 'white space', Evelyn! A coloured card base can add real interest to a CAS card and the dark card on your design sets off that beautiful butterfly perfectly. Such an elegant card with lots of texture. Thank you for sharing it with us at Less is More this week :)

What a lovely card! The copper and black are stunning together, and create such a dramatic effect. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More :)

I think your card is very elegant Evelyn! The copper and black colour scheme is very classy indeed. Black certainly does count as 'white space' as long as it is free from any image, layer or embellishment. I suppose it could be argued that the embossing is a type of embellishment....but I really love the textural effect that has. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Less is More.
