A Sketch

I am rushing in to beat the deadline, which means photographing the card under artificial light.  A card with rose gold accents.  It did not go well.  The Cas(e) this sketch deadline is early tomorrow morning, PST.  

A few months ago, I found this beautiful 6x6 paper pad at Hobby Lobby.  It's from My Mind's Eye and is called "Blush."   I love each and every piece!  Unfortunately, the metallic rose gold doesn't photograph well.  The card base is dark navy, as is the sentiment; they are only slightly darker than the background of the dotted paper used for the vertical trim. "Smile" is a die from Intricutz. 

Frame It with a Sunday Stamps Sketch

Copper was my accent for this Sunday Stamps sketch.  I used designer paper from a Bo Bunny 6x6 pad called "et cetera."  The flower focus piece is a Magenta stamp heat-embossed and colored with watercolor markers and lots of water.  Then it was popped up on the copper central piece. After that, I decided to frame each other piece with copper and cut "hello" from the copper cardstock. 

Less is More with Thread

Less is More ---Does black space count as white space?  I tried to evaluate whether my card is CAS according to the examples on the page, but I'm still not certain.  However, I'm posting my "thread" card, anyway.   I rather like it.   (It's a tall card that will require a special envelope.)

The thread is copper, marking the flight of the coppery butterfly.  Copper is repeated in the heat-embossed sentiment.  

Freshly Made in Copper

I chose a piece of metallic designer paper for the focal point of this new Freshly Made Sketches card; the only negative is the difficulty in photographing it.  The photograph simply isn't true to color. 

The button was painted with copper spray paint and the leaf was die cut from the designer paper. The banner has been accented with copper dots.
