It's an Asian Thing

I've been creatively stymied for more than a week....I am up to my ears with cardstock of all colors and patterns, hundreds of rubber stamps, and anything else someone could use to make a card, but I could not create.    So I took a different tack:  I chose a theme to work with.   I haven't worked with my Asian images for a long time, so that's what I chose.    Two cards came together fairly easily, but the third one didn't.  Then I read Cynnie's Galerie 46 blog post about a mini accordion book.   Actually, I've made these books before, and it was enjoyable to create an Asian-themed one with black and gold specialty paper.

Left: Asian BG stamp on patterned paper, sanded edges; image stamped on patterned paper and popped with foam dots.
Right: Washi paper layered card; image stamped on patterned paper

Good on you for changing tack Evelyn, it obviously worked as the cards are wonderful especially the black card, it is really stunning.
Your accordion booklet is superb, just love it.

Well, Evelyn, if I could have just your creative block..I'd be satisfied. these are beautiful!I am assuming the middle one is from paper? The first one--maybe distressed inks?
And that mini-album--what a treasure.
These make perfect gifts, too.
Glad your "block" got erased.
