A "Rusty" Curiosity

Linda chose "Rusted Grunge" from Tim's Compendium of Curiosities for this week's challenge. I used Brushed Corduroy and Aged Mahogany because that's what I have!   I have some pre-cut keyholes and keys, but I decided to use one of my newest Sizzix dies....Tim's Pine Tree. The tag was cut from the same Paper Loft patterned paper that's under the tag; I just inked it with Vintage Photo.

Very nice! I love your rusty tree.

I checked earlier today and I only have Walnut Distress...I'm hoping it will work ok. I might have to pick up the right kind @ Hobby Lobby tomorrow!

Great tag. The tree looks wonderful. I think there are many of the vintage browns that will work for this technique. I played with a few of them yesterday.

How gorgeous, Evelyn! The rusted grunge tree is just perfect, and I love how you designed the background to compliment it so beautifully. The colors you used for the technique look amazing! Great touch, using the brads and washers! Bravo, artsy lady!
