I've gone 3D with an altered tin

I've been in an altering mood today, with lots of time to do it. (I'm retired, and my husband golfs every Saturday! lol)   This project is an answer to the 3D Challenge on Gingersnap Creations.   It's a tin from my stash (3x5x1 1/2") ....it once held a wallet or a watch, and it has a logo embossed on the top.   Even though I sanded the logo, I couldn't remove it.   Perfect location for a big embellishment!    I spray-painted with a black paint that leaves a 'hammered' surface.  Around the bottom edge, I applied some of Tim's Tissue
Tape, which was just the right width.  The metal flower was inspired by a tutorial on Lisa Somerville's blog .  I used 3 of the 4 "Tattered Florals" from Tim Holtz's Bigz die, cut from Ten Seconds Studio's Barn Red metal and embossed in one of Tim's folders.  The flowers are held together with a "Delish" fabric brad, a gift from my good friend Denise.

Wonderful way to alter the tin! Glad you found inspiration with my Metal flowers, yours makes a wonderful embellishment to cover the logo!

Evelyn, how GORGEOUS is this?? I've got to get some of that hammered metal paint-- what a cool effect! Your flower is just beautiful, and the Tissue Tape is the perfect edging.

You are just rocking the art left and right! We're so glad you shared this at Gingersnaps for our 3D challenge!
