Inking the Grunge

When I bought Tim's book, I tried one or two of the techniques, but didn't really feel good about them.  Linda Ledbetter's challenges have changed my attitude.  I'm trying techniques I just glanced at earlier. Challenge #8 from "Compendium of Curiosities" is "Inking Grunge."  Linda's own creation is a cute grungeboard 'purse' that she sewed to the page with twine and then filled with 'goodies.'

My entry this week  is a 5 1/4 inch square card with primitive diecut stars (Sizzix) of Grungeboard.  I used Crushed  Olive, Wild Honey, and Aged Mahogany to color the stars.

This challenge multiplied in interest when I won the fabulous collection of "Tim Stuff" in the random drawing for last week!   Thanks to Linda and to Tim and Mario for providing the great prize package!

Love those primitive stars! They look similar to something I have sitting on my desk at home (hehe). This card has a great presence; I love the colors. That background paper is a neat starting point for the colors. Good job. Denise B.

Evelyn, you're on a roll! This is every bit as wonderful as your other creations (and that's SUPER wonderful!). Those primitive stars ROCK! What a gorgeous design, and the inked grunge technique is perfect for it. Love the sentiment, too.

Congratulations again on your win! I'm so excited for you!

Big hugs,
Linda
