Compendium of Curiosities Challenge: Multi-Medium Collage
Another of those fun challenges from Tim Holtz's new book, sponsored by Linda of Studio L3. My 'object' of choice is giant! I had to choose a shape from Tim's Grungeboard selection, and the huge key seemed obvious. It doesn't have too many little nooks and crannies to make the technique difficult. Crushed Olive, Forest Moss, and Shabby Shutters were the Distress Inks of choice. An envelope from my stash helped to determine the size of this very large (4 1/2 x 7") card. (The paint 'splot' is actually cut from a piece of Club Scrap patterned paper...perfect for the Wordsworth sentiment!)

I had trouble finding something to cover too! Love this key though.
LOVE that key!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's awesome, Evelyn! I love the big, bold look, and I think larger object work really well for this technique-- you get to see more of the text that way! Great colors, too, and I really like the cool way you inked the "seize the day" panel.
Well done, sweet lady!
I too played with that challenge last night -- and considered the key briefly. It was just too big and I ended up going with one of the grungeboard hearts. Your piece turned out nicely. I love the color choices; they work so well with the key. Denise B.
It is a substantial piece - but beautifully done!
Looks great Evelyn! I know, it's hard to know what to do with these huge pieces, but this really looks spectacular!
This is terrific, adore that huge key. Annette x
