Tag Tuesday ---Tag with a Picture
This week's challenge on Tag Tuesday is to create a tag that features a picture/photo. I've chosen one of my grandfather (born in 1887) and three of his 5 sisters. The twins in the photo were separated at age 7 when one died of diptheria. (They were born in 1893, the same month as the death of a 10-year-old sister. I can't even imagine the emotions of my great-grandmother that month!) Another sister, Mary, was born in 1898, and she lived to the age of 99. Great-Aunt Carrie is the other girl in the photo; she was a 'spinster' all her 90+ years.

Love this tag and the story behind the photo. It's hard to imagine the hardships that our ancestors faced, yet that's where they found the strength that they passed on to the next generations. Thank you for sharing!
I love this & the history...makes it so personal
What a beautiful tag and so special that you've used a photo of your ancestors! Life was certainly harder in many ways back in the "good ole days". I think every family lost a child somewhere along the line.
Lovely and very elegant!
This is a gorgeous vintage tag Eveline, thanks for the piece of history behind it. I had a grandma who reached 100 years of age too!
Beautiful tag - I don't know how they managed to get through such tough lives. This is a wonderful tribute.
