From the Heart with Frilly and Funkie

I decided to try a challenge that took me places I don't ordinarily go with my crafting....it's a challenge posted on the Frilly and Funkie Blog.  It's called "From the Heart."

Your challenge is to create a vintage project that has hearts as the focal image; you could make a dimensional piece, a card, ATC or tag, as long as hearts are the main focus.

I hope this is vintage enough.   I altered a 4-slide mailer, featuring hearts on the cover.

For the cover, I used Distress Stains in Tumbled Glass and Tarnished Brass.  Grunge paper was covered with aluminum flashing tape and cut into hearts (the large one is a Hero Arts stamp used as a pattern; the two smaller ones are Mini Hearts movers and shapers from Tim Holtz); the hearts were dry embossed in folders and painted with Distress Paint (Broken China and Tarnished Brass).   The Corked Vial is an Idea-ology item, filled with gold microbeads.  The other two embellishments are from Prima's Mechanicals and Junkyard Findings.   The inside cover of the slide mailer was covered with a specialty paper from my stash, and the slide side was painted with more Tarnished Brass paint.  The second slot holds a glass slide with the "art" image.
