I am truly anti-cat; I have been very allergic since age 5. A stamping friend sent this cute Penny Black wood-mounted stamp years ago, after I complimented her on a card that featured the image. I think I've inked it up once in the years since. However, I have a beautiful daughter-in-law who adores cats...she adopts from shelters and she now has 3. That means my oldest son also likes cats. (We didn't have any warm-blooded "pets" when the boys were young. We did have tropical fish, an iguana, a tarantula and a scorpion!) Today, I was happy to use this image to make a card to include in a package of goodies on their way to Brooklyn from Oregon. (The black border on the left of the image looks much wider than the right, but it's shadow because I popped the image up on adhesive foam tape.)

Hello, Evelyn! I have been a cat person and a dog person -- you know me -- but there's something about cat stamps that I just love and I have way more of them than dog stamps. Working on that. This is adorable and I know your son and DIL loved it and appreciated your thoughtfulness in sending it. Happy new year!
