Botanical Prints

This CAS Mix Up was definitely a challenge for me!   I attempted it last week and after 3 failures, I gave up.  Today, I was inspired by a series of small maple leaves on a tree I was photographing.  I picked the leaves and gave it a try again...and again.  The third time, it worked.  I inked the leaves with Distress Oxides and added black splatters for the additional mixed media element.  The card color doesn't show very well in the photo, but I layered the card front with black and then adhered them with foam tape to a rusty gold card.

Your prints turned out just beautiful with the three sizes and colors of leaves. The detail is remarkable and the black splatters and sentiment with the card layers are all pulled together nicely. I'm glad you persevered, Evelyn! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS Mix Up!

Well done for persevering Evelyn - previously I had tried this technique a few times and had very mixed results but both mine this time turned out OK!
Your finished card was worth the effort as I think it is just lovely!
Thanks for hanging in there and joining us at CAS Mix Up!
