Pink and Gray for a Freshly Made Sketch

This was an elaborate sketch for the current Freshly Made Sketches, but the DT examples were the best!  I am not the most creative person and I so appreciate the ideas of other stampers. I had pink on the mind, so chose a piece of polka dot paper. Then  I chose two of the single flowers from Tim Holtz's flowers, inked them with Distress Inks and fussy-cut them (I intend to get the coordinating dies!).  The "happiness" die is from a coffee-themed set, and I chose to double the color to match the card color and the distressed edge of the flowers.  The silver thread adds just what was needed in the focal center.

Add this to my list of Evelyn favorites! Love the soft colors and the polka dots with the flowers. It wouldn't be the same without that silver cord, though. Really a nice touch!

So pretty! I love how you've inked the flowers and the bit of silver cording adds a great touch. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
