Watercolor with Salt

Coarse sea salt was the special ingredient for this month's CAS Watercolor.  For this challenge, I washed red and yellow watercolors on watercolor paper and added the salt.  When it dried, I brushed off the salt and cut it with the Hero Arts die.  Then I layered it on coordinating papers from My Favorite Things' Watercolor Wash Brights 6x6 pad, adding the "carpe diem" diecut from Joy Crafts.

Ohhh, I like your combo of watercolor and paper! I would almost think it was the reverse -- die cut designer paper, watercolor background -- but no. Beautiful results with wonderful colors!
