This week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge is a simple one, but my choice of accent proved to be difficult. The SU! gold thread is the skinniest I've ever tried to work with! In fact, after I finished the card, I threw the spool of thread away. However, I was committed to using gold, and I added a bit more with some gold Stickles on the wings of the butterfly.

Oh, my gosh, this is beautiful! I love the aqua and gold together, and the linen textured paper is so fine. I still have the same SU! gold thread I started with. A whole large spool of gold, silver, and copper. What appeals to me is that it's not too bulky. Those spools sure last a long time!
I so agree with you - that thread is SO hard to work with! It does a very nice accent on your card - particularly with the bit of gold Stickles on the butterfly. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
