Less is More is featuring flourishes this week. It's a new year and it's a one-layer card with a flourish somewhere on it. I do not do very well with one layer, so creating one is generally quite frustrating. It was the same this time: I made two different cards with gold-embossed flourishes but didn't like them. Then I decided that I wanted to use my Brushos--another technique I struggle to use. My first attempt went straight into the wastebasket. My second one resulted in a rather interesting watercolor look, so I tried again on watercolor paper. Then I pressed the card with an iron. Finally, some color I could live with! I flicked some Black Soot drops onto the completed surface. The little flourish is from Inkadinkado and the sentiment from Hampton Art Stamps.

Wow oh wow...how incredible, Evelyn..These colors are so vibrant. What did it look like before iron because this is awesome. And, who did the quote? It all matches. Guess winter is bringing your mojo back.

OOPS. I just read where the stamps are from. I was so taken by the beauty of your card that I got carried away. Love it.

Beautiful job with the Brushos and lovely sentiment and flourish. The watercolor paper makes a nice, sturdy card. I wouldn't have thought of ironing it.
This is fab, I just love that background Evelyn!
Thanks so much
