The color is turquoise for Less is More this week. Hopefully, I've restrained myself enough to make a "less is more" card with this splash of turquoise and a spritz of glimmer. (That background is a silvery shimmer, but it photographs darker than it is IRL.)

I think you have nailed the requirements for this Challenge, you have the splash, you have the negative space, and although it is not strictly one layer it is definitely clean and simple.
The composition is perfect.

Love the elegant simplicity of your design.
I think it's perfect! Beautiful quote. I've tried making single layer cards and they just feel too flimsy, even with the best cardstock. The one layer you added is still clean and simple and easy to mail.
