This tag is my favorite of Linda's beautiful Christmas collection of Funkie Junkie Tags of Christmas. I think it's because it's totally non-traditional for Christmas, but it's loaded with fabulous, elegant details. I determined early to imitate the ink color because I've never deliberately made a brown tag before. I also clear-embossed a flourish on the tag before inking with Vintage Photo Distress ink and overstamping text in archival black. I also loved the white petals/leaves with inked edges; I made my floral centerpiece from two sizes of the Tattered Poinsettias. The pretty lace is from Funkie Junkie Boutique, and I stained it with Frayed Burlap Distress Stain (the only brown stain I have). The delicate flourish die is from Cheery Lynn.

Hello Evelyn
I can see immediately that you loved making this. It is just stunning.
I like your decision to dye the lace, it contrasts with the purity of your White flower and flourish beautifully.

Totally gorgeous, Evelyn! I really love how your background came out. Your resist with the flourish is wonderful. That poinsettia die made such a fabulous flower too - love the inked edges and tips. That lace looks amazing dyed that color. A really lovely take on Tag #11 - thanks so much for sharing it with us!
