Have you ever locked yourself into a creation with colors or patterns.....and then things don't really work the way you envisioned? That's what happened with this Compendium of Curiosities challenge: Faded Layers (p. 43 in Tim's new book). I just wanted to use the new DI colors, but my masking and stamping turned out to be strange, at best. And I had the rosettes I wanted to use, too. It's really a mish-mash of "Tim-stuff." (Although I used two different masks, they barely show up in the finished product.)

yeah, but whatever....it looks great!! Sometimes our projects take on a life of their own and paint or make themselves...that is cooool...
Sure looks like a beautiful mish-mash to me Evelyn!
Love these colors.
Love your mish-mash! You really used the colors beautifully. My masking got a bit lost too - I think it's nice just to have it in the background anyway.
Stunning tag!! Love it! There are new colors? Gotta got check that out :)
Hello Evelyn
I think this Tag that you call a mish-mash is just stunning, it is vibrant and eclectic. The Bg is just wonderful and wherever your masks are who cares, the end result is just beautiful.
Smiles:)

Looks great to me, I am yet to experiment with the ink pads, I have used the reinkers though, its on my latest post on my blog.
Did a good job Evelyn. I like the way this came together and I love the rosettes.
I am waiting for my new colors to arrive.
It's spectacular, Evelyn! If that's a mish-mash, then mish-mashes are the coolest thing EVER! Great use of color, and the rosettes are FABULOUS!
