Splitcoaststampers dealt with the collection of patterned paper. Many stampers said they quit buying it because the size of the graphics didn't work with their cards; others said they went back to creating their own backgrounds. I commented that I am addicted to beautiful papers, and I now have a 'stash' that I'll never use during my lifetime! But I don't think I'll quit buying it.
One of my latest purchases is a 12x12 paper pad from DCVW called " The Tradewinds." It's beautiful! Today, I pulled out two pages and made two cards, each one featuring an elaborate image from one sheet. The base of each card is textured black cardstock.

Cards and two papers |

Cards feature images cut from one paper; Glossy Accents was added to the butterfly(I think it might be a moth) and key.
The interior of each card was cut from the plain center of the light-colored paper. |

The papers are beautiful, and that butterfly is a stunner Evelyn, I like PP too, but I only buy them when I want a change from my papers that I make.
I always try to extend myself, using PP can be a challenge, sometimes I need this to help me look at projects differently.

ahhhh a girl after my own heart....a fellow paper fanatic....what can I say. I paint it, buy it, hoard it...I have severe paperholic problems. Maybe we should start our own organization for those of us in need of help with this problem:)
Our membership would soar don´t you think?
oh yeah,,,fabulous butterfly cards...they look great!
A different color scheme for you, E!! I like the two cards a lot. They're elegant looking -- and you didn't even stamp anything, right? You can never stop buying new patterned paper because it inspires you to create! Denise B.
These are gorgeous Evelyn!
You are so very talented with these.
Oh Evelyn, you are driving me crazy with these beautiful cards!!!! I'm looking at my PP in a different light. Thanks!

I have the same problem only with fabric! But I've seen some amazingly beautiful paper...so I understand!
I hear ya, Evelyn. Never thought I'd be such a paper hound -- but it appears I am. It's really hard not to be with all the fabulous papers they keep coming out with. And the fact that they have those cool 6x6 pads now too.
I feel your pain! Sometimes it is so difficult to cut into a beautiful piece of paper, isn't it?
I'm with you I adore designer paper, just look what you can do with it! Beautiful!
