It's another Color Throwdown

A piece of K & Company's "Wild Saffron" patterned paper contained basically all the colors of this week's Color Throwdown.  That should make it easy, right?  Wrong!  For at least half an hour, I sat with the cardstock pieces in front of me, holding one up against another, trying to decide how I would layer them.  Dark against light...or light against dark?  Die cut the patterned paper?   No, that would leave too much of the chocolate color showing.  Too dark. Stamp an image or just a sentiment?  Or cut out part of the pattern in the paper and use it?  It was at least two hours later that I actually made all those decisions and started putting the card together.   How do people make cards in ten minutes?  Or do they?

You love to throwdown the colors don´t you...great piece. I also finally got my hands on recent Stampington magazines this weekend and saw your work in there too. Just gorgeous. TEN MIN...I want to know the person that can actually make a card in ten min. tooooooo:) Maybe after ALL the decisions and cutting and stamping and painting, etc. are FINISHED then quickly slap that stuff on there before the ten minutes are up I suppose:)

These colors are really gorgeous, Evelyn. However long it took was worth what resulted. It is elegant enough for a congratulations and dignified enough for a sympathy. I'd use the same format again. It is beautiful.

About the instructions for TT, I think they cut and pasted, forgetting to take out the part about the entry could be any size, etc. This one is meant to be square, I believe.

I hear ya about the mythical "10 min card"!! You're card is great! That pattern paper is just perfect and I like that you made the pieces with the sentiment smaller, so that it didn't cover up the paper.

Hahahahaha ,the only way to make a card in ten minutes is if you copy theirs!!!!! The original is more like 2 hours! So your right in the ball park with this one. It really came out pretty Evelyn.
Sometimes I sit and just stare at the things on my table........
