Rainbow of colors on an altered CD
I started out with the idea of doing something in 3-D for Gingersnaps....but I don't think this CD fits the bill. The only real dimension is the flower, and I put those on cards! However, it was fun to get out the alcohol inks and make a mess on a CD again. I used my favorite trio of colors: Wild Plum, Butterscotch, and Stream--dribbling each color in various places until almost the entire surface is covered. I then dabbed a little Gold Mixative on with a piece of felt and mixed the inks. (If you over-do, you lose the vivid colors.) The images are from Tim's Urban Chic set, part of a wonderful prize I won on Linda Ledbetter's Studio 3L blog recently. They are embossed in gold, although they appear white. The piece is just right for Rangerinklink!
