It's a most interesting color challenge this week at the Play Date Cafe.' I think the term is 'colour horribilis'....Sarah Anderson's choice for the challenge: mustard yellow, hot pink, and navy. To be honest, I worked for more than an hour with papers in the solid colors, but I couldn't put anything together. That's when I fell back on alcohol inks...in particular, Raspberry and Lemonade--two of the new colors. Even then, I had to experiment with stamps, finally settling on this Tim Holtz 'weedy' one. The navy looks black in the photograph, but it is navy, as is all the stamping. Challenge met!

Well done!
Wow--this one is great! Unlikely combo of colors but you really pulled it off. I also wanted to comment on the tag with your mother--she looks fantastic! You always do a great job with the AI, as demonstrated in your wine bottle. Darlene

Evelyn, what an unusual combination of colors! But you know what? I think they are awesome. You've made a gorgeous card here, and the navy looks navy on my screen.

This is great. I love it. You not only made the colours work, but you created something full of great contrasts: the sharp lines of the layers with the curves of the punching. Not to mention the abstract background. Thank you for sharing this.
