After spraying the Lettuce, Butterscotch, and Cranberry washes on watercolor paper, I spritzed it with Simple Green cleaner, poured on rock salt and let it sit for an hour. Then I dumped off the salt and finished drying the color with a heat tool. (Stamps are from Wendy Vecchi)

Color Wash on Grungy Monday
It's Monday again, and that brings out the grungy .... "Grungy Monday" on Linda's blog. Adirondack Color Washes are the challenge of the week. I have old ones that I bought years ago, but they work pretty well. I prefer to play with them outdoors when it's sunny, but we haven't had any weather like that for months.

I just love earthy colours Evelyn, I really have to force myself not to use them all the time on my cards. So you can already guess that I just love this, your sentiment is perfect.
Do you find rock salt better than iodised?
I sometimes do not always have a good result.
Smiles:)
Your colors are so rich. I like the salt technique and it's effect on colorwash over watercolor paper. And what a beautiful stamp! Great work!
Great colours and technique!
Beautiful card Evelyn... love the salt idea and the texture it leaves... and lovely words too...

Beautiful! Love the look after the addition of the salt!
Wonderful! These are the colours which I normally reach for, but I decided to come out of my shell a little with these challenges. I would love to know more about the salt technique though. Going to have to try and find this one out. Thanks for the inspiration!
Evelyn, this is a gorgeous, earthy work of art and you've made those Color Washes look AMAZING! The Simple Green/salt technique is fabulous-- the soft, mottled look you created is beyond beautiful! I just love this!
