Freshly Made with an Unusual Shape

For this week's Freshly Made Sketches, I studied this sketch carefully, tilting the image to decide just how to cut that unusual layer.  Once that was decided, I decided to use a graphic piece of paper there.  The first one didn't work, but much of that reason was the shape that I tried to use.  Attempt #2:  I decided to use a stamped image with a die and a different graphic piece.  The "smile" die needed a backing so the yellow would be obvious.

The stamp and die are from Simon Says Stamp! "Smile" is and intricutz die by Couture Creations.

Very striking. I like the way you've used a single pop of colour against the black and white. I also like the texture you've included.

I like this sketch! Nice and simple. I need to save it for later. Your bold stripes stand out very nicely from the embossed background. Of course, I love the yellow. The smile die is very pretty!
