Less is More with an Animal and Bister

Bister is a "new" product for crafters in the US---Europeans have been rolling out fabulous backgrounds with the product for sometime.  I have started learning how to use it and decided it would work as the background for my LESS IS MORE card this week.  "Animal" is the theme, and I was delighted to be able to use my newest stamp:  "Filly Sketch" from Stampendous.  It's a real horse, not one of those clunky or cartoonish little equines.   The sentiment is from Power Poppy.

(People who visit my blog often comment about the old chair in the background; it's on my back porch and is the best place for me to photograph my cards.   I love the chair, but it's in pretty sad shape.  I've used it for a senior portrait session---it was in the river.  During the winter, I set it out in the snow to photograph items. In my bedroom is another one, but it's in very good condition and has a pretty cover of white paint with some blue stripes.)

Beautiful! I love the background. I haven't heard of a bister. I'll have to look it up. The sentiment is really quite perfect with the spirited horse. As for the chair, this one has character. I think "shabby chic" when I see it.
