Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas #6

Linda's "Funkie" tag #6 has a variety of features for inspiration; I chose the text paper background, Tim's pine tree die, and a snowflake rosette.  When I started, I decided on a monochromatic theme:  Weathered Wood Distress and Pewter Metallic Stains.   First, I applied the text paper to a #8 tag with ModPodge and then applied both stains.  The tree was cut from textured cardstock and dry embossed before getting the same application of stains.  It was popped up on a pine tree cut from Grunge paper. The snowflake was cut from the same cardstock and stained the same as the tree. Shiny silver "pearls" accent the top and bottom.  The tie started out as white embroidered trim that I cut in half lengthwise and dyed with the two stains.

This is a beautiful monochromatic palette Evelyn, the silvery Blue holds so much warmth and the script looks fabulous on the Bg.
Great texture too.

Evelyn, your tag is striking. I love that you pulled out of Linda's tag this monochromatic theme. The cool blues and silvers combined actually give off such a warm inviting feeling. It's a textural beauty!
Hope you're having a good week,
hugs,
Lisa xx

Gorgeous tag! Love how you have managed to stick quite closely to the original but I really love your blue take on it, - makes it look so festive and wintery!

Beautiful color palette and I really love the way you emboessed the entire tag. What a great look! And another great snowflake rosette too - looks so pretty in the icy blue! Love your work and can't wait to see what you come up with next, Evelyn!

Hugs,
Linda
