I managed to make it difficult

Grungy Monday is featuring Tim's "Perfect Distress" technique, and I've done it several times. (Video here) However, I decided I wanted to use autumn leaves (Tim's Falling Leaves set), and I wanted to make a card instead of a tag, but things just wouldn't work.  That was yesterday---and this is now.   Inks for the leaves: Barn Door, Rusty Hinge, Seedless Preserves, Crushed Olive.  I added Mustard Seed to the background after using Vintage Gold Perfect Pearls.

Very autumnal! I love the colors, and the 3 pearls set it off so nicely.

Gorgeous distressing Evelyn, along with the Autumn leaves. Interesting that you chose Sensual purple as your BG.
Did you know that Purple is preferred by very creative and eccentric types! It is a glorious yet complex colour. There is a feeling of daring in this card.
Perhaps it was because you had such a difficult time bringing it together you took a risk! It works for me.

If you struggled, it sure in noooo way..shows. This is fantastic. In fact, what you did with the leaves is quite amazing.
I hope his video shows how to do this because of the uniqueness of this card. frankly, I prefer cards anyway, sooo this is just wonderful.
Thanks, Evelyn.

Well, this is absolutely gorgeous, Evelyn! The colors are amazing together-- purple and gold and orange = WOW! Beautiful design, too. I'm glad you persevered; sometimes, it takes a fresh start to find your groove, and boy oh boy, you FOUND it!
