Color Wash on Grungy Monday

It's Monday again, and that brings out the grungy .... "Grungy Monday" on Linda's blog. Adirondack Color Washes are the challenge of the week.    I have old ones that I bought years ago, but they work pretty well.  I prefer to play with them outdoors when it's sunny, but we haven't had any weather like that for months.

After spraying the Lettuce, Butterscotch, and Cranberry washes on watercolor paper, I spritzed it with Simple Green cleaner, poured on rock salt and let it sit for an hour.  Then I dumped off the salt and finished drying the color with a heat tool.  (Stamps are from Wendy Vecchi)

I just love earthy colours Evelyn, I really have to force myself not to use them all the time on my cards. So you can already guess that I just love this, your sentiment is perfect.
Do you find rock salt better than iodised?
I sometimes do not always have a good result.

Your colors are so rich. I like the salt technique and it's effect on colorwash over watercolor paper. And what a beautiful stamp! Great work!

Wonderful! These are the colours which I normally reach for, but I decided to come out of my shell a little with these challenges. I would love to know more about the salt technique though. Going to have to try and find this one out. Thanks for the inspiration!
