The Curiosity of Rusted Enamel

When I was working on this piece for Linda's "Compendium of Curiosities Challenge" I kept thinking of it as "Distressed Enamel."  After all, it involved Distress Ink.   However, it's "rusted"....and this is the fourth tag I made before I achieved the look I was going for.  I combined Barn Door with Rusty Hinge to get this particular color. (The technique is on page 41 of Tim's book.)

What a superb blending of the distress inks Evelyn, can I ask what paper you used? Did it have a coating or was it a matt finish?
I seem to have a problem sometimes with the inks grabbing the paper and I have a blotchy effect.
I love the colour combo.

Ooh, la la, those colors are spectacular, Evelyn! I love this-- it really does look like rusted enamel, and the stamping is great. What a perfect sentiment!

Too funny on your color choices! Those are what I used also! Love how your challenge tag turned out and the shape of that sentiment is so unique! Molly is pretty sweet, but not to other dogs!
