An Industrial Curiosity

For the "Compendium of Curiosities Challenge" on Linda's blog this week, we're doing "Industrial Grunge."  Although I didn't have the scratch tool, I discovered that a craft knife works just beautifully!   I've had the grungeboard images for at least 2 years, and it was nice to be able to use them. The result:  a Christmas card in non-traditional colors.

Oh, Evelyn, this is beautiful! What a sweet, serene Christmas card, and it's wonderfully designed! You completely rocked the Industrial Grunge technique, and turned it into something exquisitely elegant. Gorgeous art, my dear! And those colors couldn't be better.

Have you ever heard the song Silver and Gold? It's sung by Burl Ives in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

And, while it's a beautiful song for the season ... it's not nearly as gorgeous as your card!

They may not be traditional Christmas colours, but I think they work just fine! I love your composition - a beautiful card overall.

Very pretty! I love that deer shape; I just bought the stamp, actually, and now you've given me inspiration! Nice work.

Evelyn, I really love the way you have done the industrial grunge on the fab reindeer and bauble. A perfect card for Christmas.

This is stunning, Evelyn! Love the colors and the fabulous texture you've achieved with this technique. I've been hoarding those same grungeboard shapes.... time to get them out. ;)

Evelyn, Beautifully done this could have been done by the man himself. You did Tim's technique proud!

I kid you not, but I was going to use an ornament and cut out a reindeer from my new die! Too funny!! My g-paper has sat around a long time also! Now you know I am loving this and it is a perfect Christmas card!
